India-WI ODI at Chepauk in balance as stadium awaits nod

CHENNAI: The fate of the India-West Indies one day match in the city on December 10 is uncertain. The MA Chidambaram stadium, where the game is to be played, is yet to get clearance from the National Coastal Zone Management Authority under the Union ministry of environment and forests (MoEF). Senior Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) officials said the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), which owns the stadium, hadn't approached them for approval of the plan proposal and completion certificate either.
