Draft coastal management notification faces protests

Fisherfolks across India’s 7,500 km long coastline are up in arms against the draft Coastal Zone Management Notification. The draft, prepared by the Union ministry of environment and forests (moef), will soon be forwarded to the prime minister for his approval.
